Musical Landscapes

Bring your imagination, curiosity, sketch pads, writing journals and/or any other creative tools to be a part of this multidisciplinary experience designed to bring people and the arts together!

Discover inspiration through flute and guitar Global Chamber Music in celebration of The Atelier’s current exhibition, “Long Island Landscapes”. Join artists Patty Yantz and Jonathan Van Brunt by working on your own art during this concert performance or just sit back and enjoy the music.

Bring your own art supplies or use some materials provided by The Atelier.

FREE ADMISSION - please register to attend.

Celebrate National Chamber Music Month with Serenade Duo

May is National Chamber Music Month, an annual celebration of the many styles of small ensemble music performed throughout the world. Be a part of this year's festivities by joining the international award-winning ensemble Serenade Duo, flutist Michelle LaPorte and guitarist Gerry Saulter, for an intimate recital at the Port Jefferson Library. The Duo's program, Reflections of Latin America, features 21st century flute and guitar music inspired by the beauty and spirit of Latin American culture.

The duo will perform a variety of lyrical compositions for flute and guitar from Argentina, Cuba, Italy, and France. The program features tangos, milongas, preludes, and suites created by living composers.

Puerto Rico Flute Symposium

Michelle LaPorte and Gerry Saulter are happily Artists in Residence for the 2022 Symposium.

The Puerto Rico Flute Symposium is a branch of the Puerto Rico Summer Music Festival designed to enrich the flute and music communities. This symposium uses masterclasses, panel discussions, and performances to enhance the contributions made by people of color and other minorities in the music field.
